Message From Barry

As a Black gay man, I’m passionate about helping people find a safe space for healing and personal growth. I want to create an inclusive environment where everyone’s experiences are welcome and valued. With a lot of experience in the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the unique challenges we face, while also acknowledging that many struggles are shared among Black and queer individuals.

I feel a strong connection to those dealing with health challenges, especially around HIV. The difficulties in a world that often misunderstands these experiences require not just resilience but also the strength to combat societal misconceptions and build lives filled with love, acceptance, and meaningful connections.

My therapeutic approach is supportive, respectful, and tailored to each person’s needs and identities, no matter their background. I recognize how deeply trauma can affect someone’s life and well-being, and my goal is to create a compassionate and empowering space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and heal on their journey.
