Message From Chris
Hello, y’all! I’m Chris. My therapeutic approach is rooted in social justice, where I actively practice anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and intersectional values. I believe in being transparent, so here’s a bit about me: I’m a Latinx/e biracial, queer, nonbinary/agender, neurodivergent, fat/larger-bodied person, and I’m in an interracial marriage with my Black husband. We share our lives with our beloved dog.
As I continue to grow in my practice, I focus on centering disabled, queer, transgender, and BIPOC communities in the research I engage with and the materials I study. In addition to my therapeutic work, I’m passionate about promoting equity and inclusion through supervision and consultation at BPOQe.
I work with adults and adolescents who are navigating trauma, dissociation, mood disorders, neurodivergence, chronic health conditions, disability, sexual and gender identity, LGBTQ+ concerns, racial identity, and grief. I also offer family and relationship counseling, including support for non-monogamous relationships. I’ve received training in IFS, EMDR, DBT, EFT, EFFT, and the Gottman Method.
My approach is compassionate, curious, and deeply informed by both my formal education and my lived experiences. I strive to offer validation, practical and emotional support, skill development, and guidance to help you navigate your daily life and process your experiences.
Let’s work together to create a space where you can heal and grow.
