Message From Marissa
Hi there! — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a person who believes that healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. In fact, therapy can be a space of relief, discovery, and even lightness — especially when it’s grounded in compassion, trust, and authenticity. My approach is calm and steady, but also deeply intentional. I’m here to help you feel safe enough to explore what’s been weighing on you, while gently guiding you toward meaningful change.
I specialize in trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, and I’ve supported clients navigating low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, school stress, existential questions, and challenging relationships. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and we’ll work to shift patterns that are no longer serving you.
Our work will be collaborative — I’ll bring tools, reflection, and structure, and you’ll bring your truth and lived experience. We’ll practice self-care and boundary-setting, learn to regulate emotions, and create new ways of thinking that help you feel more hopeful about your future — and more at peace in your present.
This is a judgment-free zone, and you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. I look forward to holding space for you as you take this next step.
